SOLD OUT//The Three Sisters and Four Centuries of Virginia Women

  • The Broad 209 North Foushee Street, 3rd fl. Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

Lunch and learn about four centuries of Virginia women in food, from the Powhatan Indians to Mary Randolph's enslaved cooks, from how tea rooms, yes tea rooms, played a role in the suffrage movement to today's female-run kitchens and farms. Our lunch at The Broad will be based on the Virginia League of Women Voters' first cookbook and the Peytonia Cookbook, owned by Maggie Walker. The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and the Virginia Museum of History and Culture will assist, too! The Broad(s) by Bus tour is still available.
